High-tensile bolts: 10.9 and 12.9
Socket head (allen) cap screws are commonly supplied in property class 12.9, and hex and flange bolts in 8.8, 10.9 or 12.9. Higher grades carry more load for the same size, but they are also less tolerant of poor installation and some environments, so use the grade the design specifies and tighten to the specified torque.
