Fasteners for Construction & Contracting in Dubai

Construction sites in the UAE run on tight programmes, so the fasteners have to be the right specification and on site when the crew needs them. Mufaddal Fasteners supplies contractors with anchor bolts, structural bolts, threaded rods, nuts and washers from our base in Dubai.

Tell us the standard, grade, size and finish your drawings call for, and we will quote against that exact specification instead of a look-alike.

Anchoring into concrete

Most structural and services fixings end up in concrete, and the anchor you choose depends on the load, the concrete and the edge distance. Foundation (J- and L-) bolts are cast into the pour for base plates and columns. Wedge anchors, sleeve (shield) anchors and drop-in anchors are installed into hardened concrete, while chemical studs are used when you need high pull-out resistance or work close to an edge.

Always follow the anchor manufacturer's data for embedment depth, spacing and hole cleaning. A correctly sized anchor installed in a dusty hole will not reach its rated load.

Structural bolting and strength grades

Steel connections normally use hex bolts with matching nuts and washers. Property classes 8.8 and 10.9 (ISO 898-1) are the common high-strength choices, and the nut must be rated for the bolt: for example a class 8 nut with an 8.8 bolt and a class 10 nut with a 10.9 bolt.

Do not substitute a lower-grade nut or washer to save time — the weakest component sets the strength of the joint.

  • Hex bolts and heavy hex nuts for steel connections
  • Foundation anchor bolts and threaded rods for base plates
  • Flat and spring washers for load spreading and vibration

Protection against humidity and salt air

Dubai combines high humidity with salt-laden air near the coast, and fasteners left outdoors will corrode quickly if the coating is wrong. Hot-dip galvanised (HDG) is the usual choice for exposed steelwork, zinc plating (including yellow zinc, YZP) suits dry interior locations, and stainless steel A2/A4 (304/316) is used where appearance or long service life matters.

If you are unsure which finish suits a location, ask us before ordering — the cheapest finish is often the most expensive one to replace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which anchor should I use in concrete?
It depends on the load, the concrete strength and the distance to the edge. Wedge and sleeve anchors suit most medium-duty fixings, drop-in anchors suit flush internal fixings, and chemical studs suit heavy loads or close edge distances. Send us the load and substrate and we will recommend options.
Do you supply hot-dip galvanised fasteners for outdoor steelwork?
Yes, hot-dip galvanised (HDG) is one of the finishes we supply, along with zinc plating and stainless steel. Tell us the product and quantity and we will confirm availability.
Can you quote from a bill of quantities?
Yes. Send the list with standards, grades, sizes and finishes through the quote form or WhatsApp and we will respond with a quotation.
