Marine & Shipbuilding Fasteners in Dubai

Salt water, humidity and constant vibration are hard on fasteners. Mufaddal Fasteners supplies shipyards, drydock companies and ship chandlers in Dubai with corrosion-resistant bolts, nuts, pins and rigging hardware.

From stainless steel A4 (316) to hot-dip galvanised carbon steel, we help you choose a material and finish that suits where the fastener will actually live on the vessel.

Choosing the right marine material

Stainless steel 316 (A4) contains molybdenum, which gives it much better resistance to chloride (salt) attack than 304 (A2), so it is the usual stainless grade for marine use. Hot-dip galvanised steel is a cost-effective option for structural and below-deck work, and bronze or Monel are used for specialist fittings.

Avoid mixing metals carelessly: a stainless bolt in a steel plate in salt water can set up galvanic corrosion, which attacks the less noble metal. Match materials or isolate them with suitable washers and sleeves.

  • Hot-dip galvanised bolts for structural work
  • Pins and circlips for shafts and linkages

Rigging and lifting hardware

Our rigging range includes bow and D-shackles, lifting eye bolts and nuts, snap hooks, turnbuckles, wire rope and wire rope clips, plus toggle pins. For any lifting application, confirm the working load limit of the hardware you are buying and use it only within that limit.

Specialist marine items

Our catalogue also lists marine items such as non-asbestos brake lining, along with helicoil inserts for thread repair and heavy hex bolts and nuts. If you cannot find what you need on the site, send us the part description or a photo — we will tell you what we can supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 304 or 316 stainless steel better for marine use?
316 (A4) is the better choice near salt water because of its molybdenum content, which improves resistance to chlorides. 304 (A2) is fine for many indoor or mild environments.
Do you supply fasteners for drydock and ship repair?
Yes, we support drydock companies and ship chandlers. Send us the item list with sizes, material and quantities for a quotation.
Can I get a specific part that is not on the website?
